Catoctin Pregnancy Center


About: Located in Emmitsburg, MD, provides confidential help and comfort for expectant mothers.


Time: Mondays 1:00pm – 3:00pm, Tuesdays 7:00pm-8:00pm, Wednesday, 12:00pm-2:00pm or by appointment.

Prayer Shawl


About: Prayer shawls are a simple way to help spread Jesus’ love to others. They have been given to parishioners and non-parishioners, adults and children, Catholics and non-Catholics. They provide hope, comfort, and healing to those who most need a reminder of God's love for them through the work of our hands and the prayer in our hearts.


Time: Second Mondays of each month at 1pm.

Note: Open to anyone who has the skills to knit, crochet, quilt or sew or who has the desire to learn.

Gettysburg Soup Kitchen 


About: Located at the Peace House (22 West High St.) next to the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church in Gettysburg, free meals are served 6 days a week. St Mary’s and St. Rita's parishioners prepare and serve the meals on the second Thursday of each month.


Time: Monday through Saturday11:30am – 12:30pm.

Fairfield Food Pantry


About: Located at the Fairfield Mennonite Church, St. Mary’s takes  donations on occasion as well as a special Thanksgiving food drive. Religious Education students donate change weekly to the “milk fund” of the food pantry.  Non-perishable items may be left inside the back door of the Mennonite Church.


Time: Distribution is the third Friday of the month from 1:00pm - 5:00pm.

AA Group


About: Alcoholics Anonymous® is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.


Time: Thursday, 7:00pm at the St. Mary's Church.

Note: The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.


The Legion of Mary


The Legion of Mary is a Lay Apostolate under the powerful leadership of the Blessed Virgin Mary, providing community outreach through the Rosary.  Members meet in the community at various locations.  The rosary is also lead by the Legion before Sunday 8 am mass.


Meetings are held Sundays at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church.
